German Threshold Eliminated for the Upcoming European Parliament Election

The German Constitutional Court struck down the 3% threshold for winning seats in the European Parliament. Germany is allowed to send 96 MEPs to the European Parliament. Smaller parties, such as the Pirate Party, the Free Voters Party, the AfD, as well as the neo-Nazi NPD, have already started mobilizing for votes.
